Description (2950 characters max)
As a former social worker and mental health clinician for 20 years I witnessed families and children going through extreme circumstances of mental illness, addiction, abuse, children with serious emotional and behavioral problems at home and school, and complex custody cases through the court system. As a therapist this experience taught me the importance of the therapeutic relationship, building safety and trust, open communication, working with people where they are at, and empathy. I believe it is through this process of being seen, heard, and feeling valued and safe that the healing process can begin.
I specialize in children and families but also have extensive experience with adults of all ages.
